The Appalachian Development Corporation (ADC) has been a lending partner to businesses in South Carolina since 1982. The ADC was organized to further economic development, job creation and retention while financially assisting in the growth and development of businesses.
Using the SBA 504 program, the ADC provides funding to small businesses statewide. Using its internal loan funds, the ADC provides funding to businesses located in Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, and Spartanburg counties. Businesses who partner with the ADC may be able to obtain a loan with a lower equity contribution, a long-term amortization, and a fixed interest rate. A financial institution who partners with the ADC can structure its financing package to mitigate credit risk by improving the loan-to-value of a project, enhancing the borrower’s monthly debt service, and requiring a lower equity contribution.
